Applied Blockchain Receives Grant to Build Native Support For Chainlink in Create Eth App Toolkit

One of the main goals of the Chainlink Community Grant Program is to support our global developer community by making it easy to learn about, build, and impact the world with hybrid smart contracts and Chainlink oracles. The Chainlink Community Grant Program accelerates this initiative by financially supporting the creation of developer tooling needed to seamlessly create, test, and launch hybrid smart contracts into production, as well as funding the continued maintenance and updating of these developer repositories to ensure they remain functional and secure.

To that end, the Chainlink Community Grant Program is pleased to award a grant to Applied Blockchain to build native support for Chainlink within the Create Eth App developer toolkit. Create Eth App is a community resource for quickly and securely developing full-stack, Ethereum-powered React applications with key smart contract tooling and APIs already built-in. Create Eth App saves developers substantial time and resources when building Web3 applications by giving them standardized and thoroughly tested one-click templates for deploying code. Many industry-leading projects in the blockchain industry that are powered by Chainlink are supported by Create Eth App, including Aave, Synthetix, and Compound.

Applied Blockchain will use the community grant to build language templates and ABIs needed by developers when launching Web3 interfaces for Chainlinked smart contracts via the Create Eth App. This will give developers a more mature foundation for building a web experience that consumes and presents data from Chainlink. Applied Blockchain will also conduct ongoing tests and automatically update the Create Eth App library for Chainlink so it remains secure, functional, and easy to use. Most notably, Applied Blockchain will update templates to accommodate for address changes.

By adding functionality for Chainlink within Create Eth App, developers can seamlessly create an intuitive interface for Chainlinked applications on Ethereum with just a single command. For example, a Web3-enabled interface can be launched with a built-in connection to Chainlink Price Feeds through a my-eth-app template—speeding up development time without sacrificing on security. The Chainlink Community Grant Program is pleased to continue providing financial support to Applied Blockchain, who already received and is successfully carrying out a separate grant for expanding and maintaining the Chainlink Hardhat starter kit

Applied Blockchain is a team of engineers, designers, and advisors who have unique expertise in building blockchain-based infrastructure and using cryptography to provide users greater trust in code deployed on-chain. Trusted by global organizations, Applied Blockchain has a significant degree of knowledge required for maintaining and upgrading key development frameworks.
