This Dot Labs Receives Chainlink Grant For Creation of Interactive Blockchain Ecosystem Map

The smart contract ecosystem is rapidly expanding, making becoming a smart contract developer an increasingly attractive prospect. One important goal of the Chainlink Community Grant Program is to support the global developer community by providing developers with the best possible tooling and educational resources to make it easier for them to learn about and build hybrid smart contracts that leverage Chainlink oracles—ultimately accelerating the adoption of deterministic agreements based on cryptographic truth.

In order to make the smart contract developer experience more efficient, we are excited to award a grant to This Dot Labs—a development consultancy specializing in web-based technologies that offers support to organizations looking to scale open-source communities—for the creation of an interactive map of the blockchain ecosystem that illustrates the complete smart contract developer journey.

This interactive blockchain ecosystem map will give developers a holistic view of the processes they need to consider in order to become successful in the blockchain industry. It will educate and guide developers of all levels, informing them of the knowledge, resources, and tooling they need at every stage of the smart contract development process. The entire development journey will be covered, starting from the early stages of learning smart contract development skills to building, testing, deploying, and monitoring decentralized applications.

The map will help to make the onboarding of new developers easier, with those new to the space directed to the best resources to help them get started. More experienced smart contract developers will also be able to benefit, with the map providing a comprehensive overview of the rapidly changing landscape of the blockchain industry, enabling them to continually evolve their skill sets to keep up with industry developments and ultimately helping them to contribute to a more advanced Chainlink ecosystem for hybrid smart contract development.

In order to keep this educational resource relevant and useful into the future, the site will allow maintainers to easily add and remove blockchains, categories, sub-categories, and items, enabling developers to keep up with the ever-evolving nature of the smart contract industry.
