Chainflow Receives Chainlink Community Grant To Support Solana Chain Integration
The Chainlink Community Grant Program provides financial resources to the many development teams and researchers building a more functional and accessible Chainlink Network. We encourage talented individual developers and development teams to apply to the grant program here, or if you are a researcher and want to collaborate, contact us.
The Chainlink Network is a blockchain-agnostic framework for constructing and launching decentralized oracle networks that enable smart contracts to access the external resources they require. Through the Chainlink Community Grant Program, we work closely with talented development teams and infrastructure providers to swiftly integrate support for Chainlink oracles into new blockchain environments, supporting the growing multi-chain ecosystem while retaining the same high level of security and reliability that users have come to expect from the Chainlink Network.
With this in mind, we’re excited to announce that Chainflow, a leading blockchain infrastructure provider with extensive experience operating validator clients for over a dozen different Proof of Stake networks, has received a Chainlink Community Grant to provide dedicated devnet node services including node architecture development and setup, monitoring setup, and ongoing support and tuning. As part of the grant, Chainflow will also provide oracle node operators within the Chainlink ecosystem issue response support, access to custom documentation, and office hours to enable the reliable operation of blockchain full node software. In particular, Chainflow will play a key role in educating Chainlink node operators on how to best set up a Solana full node, helping ensure the integration of Chainlink oracles on the Solana network is maximally secure and reliable.
Chainlink node operators run their own blockchain full node clients, enabling Chainlink oracle networks to achieve a higher level of uptime and reliability by not depending solely on third-party endpoints that could be subject to downtime. Additionally, public full node RPC endpoints for the Solana network are commonly rate limited, making them unsuitable for the high-frequency Chainlink Price Feeds that will support decentralized applications running on Solana. However, running a blockchain full node can often be a difficult task, with each network having different software configurations and hardware requirements, all of which can significantly impact reliability.
Chainflow has supported Solana as an advisor from the network’s early days, and has operated a high-performing validator since the launch of the first testnets. By working together with highly experienced blockchain infrastructure experts like Chainflow, node operators within the Chainlink ecosystem can gain the confidence required to operate their own Solana full nodes to support sub-second latency Price Feeds. Moreover, Chainflow’s focus on maximizing decentralization, as well as minimizing security risk and downtime through end-to-end monitoring and redundancies, makes them exceptionally well-suited to support the Chainlink node operator community.
Node operators are the backbone of the Chainlink Network, and we go to great lengths to support their success by collaborating with talented infrastructure teams to provide the resources and educational material they require when expanding into new blockchain environments. As the multi-chain ecosystem continues to rapidly expand, we aim to continue providing the resources required to ensure each integration reaches the highest standards of security and reliability.
“We’re feeling excited to receive a Chainlink Community Grant to help support Chainlink node operators by sharing our experience and insights, while acting as an education resource for operating full nodes for networks such as Solana. More full node operators means a more resilient, censorship-resistant, and decentralized network that benefits all participants” stated Chainflow Founder Chris Remus.
Through the Chainlink Community Grants program, we look forward to continuing to empower Chainlink ecosystem teams and researchers who are both researching and building key tools and infrastructure that accelerate the development of hybrid smart contracts and secure oracle networks. We will continue supporting the community as a key driver of Chainlink’s rapid growth, because only together can we make hybrid smart contracts into the dominant form of digital agreement.
