We’re excited to announce that Cdot, a blockchain interoperability-focused development team, has been selected as a recipient of a blockchain integration grant to bring Chainlink to the Solana blockchain. As the winner of the recent joint Request for Proposal (RFP) cosponsored by Chainlink, the Solana Foundation, and Serum, Cdot is receiving a grant for a native Chainlink-Solana integration to enhance developers ability to build a wide variety of externally connected smart contract applications on the Solana blockchain. Meeting the demands of the Chainlink and wider smart contracts ecosystem has always been the utmost priority, and this grant represents direct financial support for projects wanting to build with Chainlink on Solana.

As part of the grant, Cdot will provide several key components to the integration, including:

• Validate and adapt Chainlink contracts to ensure native compatibility with Solana.
• Test and deploy all components to Solana, with continual maintenance and upgrades.
• Deliver a monitoring solution for Chainlink nodes operating on Solana.

Cdot is a Web3 infrastructure builder focused on blockchain interoperability, which they believe is the cornerstone of the next wave of blockchain innovations. The Cdot team is known for delivering cross-chain bridges and open-source software components to partners, granters and customers. Some of the notable infrastructure Cdot has already been contracted to provide technical services for include famous crypto protocols like Cosmos, Flow, PlatON, and now Solana and Chainlink.

Solana is a high throughput blockchain, offering a non-sharded, low-latency, high-capacity replicated state machine. Serum is a scalable and liquid decentralized exchange (DEX) built on top of the Solana blockchain. By integrating Chainlink on Solana, the Serum ecosystem gets access to a high-speed decentralized oracle that can be leveraged within a wide variety of DeFi products on its platform, and Solana developers have access to a multi-purpose generalized oracle solution for a multitude of use cases in DeFi, insurance, gaming, NFTs, supply chain, and more.
