Vulcan Link Receives a Grant to Integrate Chainlink on SKALE Network

The Chainlink Community Grant Program provides financial resources to the many development teams and researchers building a more functional and accessible Chainlink Network. We encourage talented individual developers and development teams to apply to the grant program here, or if you are a researcher and want to collaborate, contact us.

We’re excited to announce that Vulcan Link, an EU-based Chainlink node operator and Web3 development and consulting company, has been selected as a recipient of a community grant to integrate Chainlink into the SKALE Network. As a blockchain-agnostic oracle network, Chainlink will support the SKALE Network by allowing their developers to build more advanced smart contract applications using real-world data and API services made available through Chainlink oracles.

SKALE is an elastic blockchain network that gives developers the ability to easily provision highly configurable and fully decentralized chains that are instantly compatible with Ethereum. SKALE chains can execute sub-second block times, support up to 2,000 tps per chain, and run full-state smart contracts, in addition to decentralized storage, rollups, and machine-learning in EVM. By integrating Chainlink, SKALE Network can retain its high-throughput performance as Chainlink oracle solutions can be built to run at the native speeds of SKALE without external dependencies on other blockchains.

Vulcan Link is a Web3 development shop and consulting agency specializing in providing oracle services and advising customers on how to best leverage the Chainlink Network to service their customized oracle and off-chain data requirements. With Vulcan Link already proving itself as a highly secure and reliable node operator across various oracle networks like the Chainlink Price Feeds, they make for a strong candidate to bring Chainlink to the SKALE Network given their experience and expertise with Chainlink.

As part of the grant, Vulcan Link will provide several key components to the integration, including:

  • Validate and adapt Chainlink contracts to ensure compatibility with SKALE
  • Test and deploy all Chainlink components to the SKALE mainnet
  • Develop documentation that blockchains deployed on the SKALE Network can use to quickly build and integrate support for Chainlink

“We’re thrilled to be awarded a community grant to integrate Chainlink’s world-class oracle technology and proven oracle solutions on the SKALE Network, both expanding the types of applications that SKALE developers can build and extending the Chainlink Network to additional high-demand blockchain environments,” stated Leo Vigna, CEO of Vulcan Link. “As early adopters and node operators on the Chainlink Network, we’re confident we can provide a secure, reliable, and timely integration of Chainlink on SKALE, empowering a new crop of externally connected and high-throughput smart contract applications and products on SKALE Network across numerous use case verticals.”

Through the Chainlink Community Grants program, we look forward to continuing to empower more and more Chainlink ecosystem teams and researchers who are both researching and building key tools and infrastructure that accelerate the development of universally connected smart contracts and secure oracle networks. We will continue supporting the community as a key driver of Chainlink’s rapid growth, because only together can we make universally connected smart contracts into the dominant form of digital agreement.
